Hello, welcome to EDCI339 (Distributed and Open Learning) Blog.
My name is Ziwen Zhao, and I’m currently studying computer science at UVIC. I love travelling and experiencing the culture and food of different countries. And I’m also intersting in all the cutting-edge technology.
I chose this class because it is an online course and it has a flexible schedule so that I can better organise my study time. Also, open learning relies on technologies such as big data, data analytics, cybersecurity, etc. that are relevant to my major, so I want to see more possibilities when I finish this course.
About 2,500 years ago,Β an ancient Chinese educator philosopher, Confucius said βζζζ η±»οΌε ζζ½ζβ. Which isΒ “Anyone who has the willing to learn should be educated and should not be separated into categories. The person should be given the appropriate educational methods and knowledge according to his personality and characteristics.”
So my philosophy of education is in teaching according to the cognitive level of different students, learning ability and their own qualities, teachers choose learning methods suitable for the characteristics of each student to targeted teaching, give play to the strengths of students, make up for the shortcomings of students, stimulate the interest of students in learning, establish the confidence of students to learn, so as to promote the all-round development of students.
